Chocolate Chia Seed Pudding

Chia seeds are one of our favorite foods, not only because they are highly nutritious, but also because of their origin. Chia was used as a staple food by native people throughout Mexico. It’s enlightening to create recipes with foods that are a part of our history.


Our newest recipe is this Chocolate Chia Seed Pudding. It’s high in fiber, chocolatey, and SUPER easy to make. We recommend you make this night before so that in the morning you can grab and go!


Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 cup of low-fat milk or milk alternative

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 1/2 tbsp coconut flakes

  • 1/4 banana slices


Directions:

  1. The night before, add milk, cocoa powder, brown sugar, and salt to a cup or bowl. Mix well.

  2. Gradually add in chia seeds while mixing.

  3. Cover and store in the fridge overnight.

  4. Top with banana slices and coconut flakes for a fiber-filled, delicious breakfast. Enjoy!
